Christmas Gilding Workshop

The perfect workshop to ring in the Christmas Spirit!  Learn the art of Contemporary Gilding, how it has changed over time, and how you can use it in your home to give your possessions the Midas Touch.

During the workshop you will learn how to gild festive Christmas ornaments from tree decorations, pinecones, standing ornaments to walnuts (a Victorian Christmas tradition).

Your gilded decorations will make a stunning memento of the day and perfect Christmas gifts for your loved ones.

Your tutor, Amelia, gained her Master’s degree in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage from the University of Lincoln, and is a gilt frame, objects and decorative surfaces conservator and restorer.  She has worked in the Fine Arts sector gaining extensive experience in restoring and conserving antiques.

All materials are provided.

Homemade seasonal refreshments will be provided throughout the morning.
