Porcelain Christmas Tree Decorations

This popular workshop is back!  Join local artist Jan Huntley-Peace to make beautiful porcelain tree decorations or window hangings during this half day workshop.

You will use antique lace, textiles, leaves and lino cuts, impressing them into the porcelain to make bespoke and unique Christmas decorations or hangings for the window.  Porcelain when fired is semi-translucent when thin, and very hard.

This workshop is for complete beginners and will give anyone who has not worked with clay a feel for this wonderful material and allow you to experiment with textures.

Your tutor Jan will supply porcelain, stencils, printing materials and all the tools you will need to make your pieces.  She will then take them away to be fired and they will be ready to be collected at a later date but in time for Christmas.  There is a materials charge of £20 per person to cover the cost of the materials and firing.

By the end of the workshop you will have at least five or six beautiful pieces finished and ready for firing in the kiln.

Homemade refreshments are available throughout each session.
